Hear ye, hear ye!

I have a 95 percent loss of hearing as does the author in, “Speak up!” (September 2010). My hearing aids increase the volume, but distort the words, making them hard to comprehend. I started AA in Florida and most meetings had wireless microphones. However, when I moved to upstate New York, I found no mikes at any meetings.
