A combination of several modalities has been demonstrated as effective with dual and single-addicted older patients in St. Luke's Alcohol and Drug Abuse Program [St. Luke's Hospital, Phoenix, Ariz.]. In addition to the multidiscipline program, addicts 55 and over attend sessions where they are able to share with their peers the special assaults of both aging and the addictive process.
