Tackling the Job Market

The Employment Program for Recovered Alcoholics, a year-old rehabilitation program [in New York City, is] believed to be one of the first of its kind in the country for helping recovered alcoholics get back into the job market. So far, 50 women and 150 men have gone through the program, and most have been placed in jobs. Only two of them, both men, have returned to drinking, according to the program's executive director, A. N. (Bud) Laupheimer.
