LONDON, ENGLAND--Statistics issued by the British Home Office show there has been a 10% increase in the number of drunkenness offenses and that 18-year-olds have demonstrated the highest increase.
Home Office Minister Timothy Raison said that the number of 17-year-olds found guilty during 1979 in England and Wales was 4,079, which was 60% of the figure for the 18-year-old group.
