There was a reason he was stuck in this room full of odor and noise
Just a little over a year ago, I met a man who was living in a treatment center. He was allowed to go to outside meetings after 30 days, and was rather enjoying himself at a very social AA conference. He told me he was quite happy to be living in that facility because he’d been living in the streets for over two years. I could tell he wasn’t really that familiar with AA, but he had that newcomer drive and excitement.
