A Delegate's Perspective

My personal spiritual experience at the Fifty-Second General Service Conference

Back in my drinking days, I didn't trust anyone. "What's their angle?" was my mantra.

After I came into Alcoholics Anonymous, I went to what I thought was an AA picnic, when this tiny woman got up, introduced herself as the delegate and began talking about her experience at the General Service Conference. I didn't know what the heck she was talking about and to this day, I can't remember most of her speech. But I do recall the story she told at the end of her talk:

"After the conference, I went for ice cream with several other delegates," she said. "As we were walking back to...
