I have often looked around the room of an AA meeting in complete amazement. On any given night and in any given meeting it is the rule rather than the exception to encounter people of completely different cultural backgrounds, ages, political and religious persuasions, varying economic status, racial heritage, sexual orientation, and just plain different personalities.

Yet, we all come into recovery for different reasons and at different points in our lives. What draws each of us to the Fellowship is a question I have often asked myself and, as I look around the meetings, I see a great diversity of answers.
