If You Don't Like It, You Can Love It!

I wonder how many of the ills I see in today's world have answers right in my own heart I could dig out with AA's tools. Using simply our Steps and Traditions, I've had a good share of God's grace in arriving at some answers lately that help me feel I'm doing my part to light the candles instead of damning the dark.

For me it began when I wanted to free myself of some resentments, our No. 1 Offender, that made me uncomfortable. I turned to Alcoholics Anonymous and read again its description of how the first AA members went about making "a fearless and searching moral inventory" of themselves, not of other people.
