Are We Reaching Canadian Readers?

<emphasis type="italic">On the</emphasis> Grapevine

Recently, we received a letter from a Canadian subscriber who wondered whether the Grapevine was really serving AA members in Canada with a product that reflected Canadian AA. "I always look particularly for articles and letter by Canadians," she said, "but they are scarce. I would love to see material from people in the Queen Charlotte Islands, Cambridge Bay, Medicine Hat, Kapuskasing, Hull, Heart's Delight, Newcastle, and Shubenacadie. . . . The Grapevine is doing a good job, but I feel Canadians need a publication for Canadians. With the advent of free trade and the flood of American TV and magazines, we are losing our Canadian identity. I have considered this in light of the Serenity Prayer. Should I practice acceptance? Or is this something I can help change?"
