Many sincere individuals have failed to solve the problem of alcoholism because they limited their search to the physical or mental plane, not recognizing that the problem--and the solution--is not limited to the physical and/or mental planes.

It has been said that the cause of alcoholism is a deficiency in the adrenal cortex (the "bark" of the supra-renal or adrenal glands located one above each kidney) but this theory of "cause" is confined to the physical plane. What causes the deficiency of adrenal cortex?
