On dual addiction

While browsing through an old Grapevine (December 1977), I ran across a comment in PO Box 1980 describing the shocking experience of a member with eleven years of sobriety who went to a meeting (closed) and was asked to leave because "no dual problems allowed." This member mentioned interpretation of the Third Tradition and said, "I am an alcoholic"--but might also have referred to the Preamble, which clearly states, "The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking."
