Opinions on 'street language'

A little note relating an experience I had concerning abusive language . . . It was birthday night at my home group, and as I made a few remarks when receiving my cake, I determined to mention the fact of not liking foul language and feeling it unnecessary and immature. I fully expected many to be angry with me, but I didn't care, though I am a timid person.

When I spoke my piece, I was astonished at the applause, and from so many men and young people. Then at coffee break, several thanked me. And I felt so much better that I'd gotten it off my chest.
