Following about four years of enjoyable AA involvement, I unaccountably began to grow restless and uneasy and had angry outbursts over trifling matters. I nagged my sponsor, made frenzied prayers for relief, and reworked my Fifth Step inventory to no avail. My newly acquired ability to see a way through difficulties seemed to have vanished. No more miracles were happening and life was losing its sparkle.
