Following a working definition of the alcoholic, an attempt was made in our last discussion, to point out some of the assets and liabilities of the alcoholic personality. Among the handicaps to recovery we found a so-called lack of will power and a loss of faith. On the other hand, there are three qualities present which make regeneration possible: an innate gregariousness, an innate altruism and "the seed of God in us" (Eckhart).
