From One Mother to Another

I READ The A.A. Grapevine from cover to cover as soon as it comes, and after reading the last one felt prompted to write the following. When my son was in his last years of school, I learned that he was drinking. I talked to him but to no avail. He would listen to me, then say, "Are you all through?" Then he would kiss me and go on his way.
