Heed the Warning!

a prison returnee's plea

PROBABLY the most abrupt realization that the oft-repeated warning to attend meetings faithfully cannot be taken lightly comes to men returning to prison. It is the writer's hope that such will never be your experience. Men who have had AA experience, either in prison or out, or some of both, and who fail on parole or come back with new commitments, have considerable advantage over men who have failed for the same reason, but who are seemingly unwilling to admit it. The AA "returnee" has had forcibly hammered home again that he is powerless over alcohol.
