Case History

DOE, Tom:

WHEN a big man swoops into a room, you notice him. When this big man spouts a new idea every minute, you can't miss him. That's Tom. Tom is full of physical energy and has an idea for every square inch of him. For 26 years he was as full of liquor as ideas.

He is sure that he was weaned on a bottle of brew. At least, he says, he never had to acquire a taste for it. Somewhere in his twenties his taste settled on a bottle of beer. He had no dislike for whisky but circumstances made it wiser to stick to a nickel a glass binge. There was always enough for a beer even though times weren't so good.
