A Grateful AA Gives One Cheer for Psychiatry
with a bow to "Two Cheers for Democracy
ONE of the unusual and heart-warming things about AA is that whenever you express an opinion, regardless of how discordant it may be with the majority, it likely will find at least an interested and sympathetic listener somewhere along the line. A case in point is Bob's article in the September issue of The Grapevine entitled, "I Needed Psychiatry," the writer's complaint being that older members complained of his leaning too strongly on the psychiatric side in his AA talks.
