The Turn in the Road
YEARS ago when AA and the people in it were beginning to help me I found myself praying for something extra--some interest to sustain me through what seemed to be years ahead of sobriety, cold and directionless. I had no plan. I only knew that I must stay sober in order to continue living. I wanted to live but I didn't expect to be happy or purposeful. I had a lot to learn.
