Voice From Norway

MY story has a great deal of Norway included in it. It's the land of my birth and I emigrated to the United States in my teens just out of grammar school. I was abstinent by choice since I had seen the result of excessive drinking by relatives, and later, in my young manhood, I belonged to a temperance society. "Sign the pledge" we sang, "It will bring you happiness." After I had been in AA a while, I realized that none of the lodge brethren were drinking people anyhow!
