FOR many in AA it seems necessary only to get sober, solvent and adjusted to our environment. Lives of productivity and serenity result. It's never that simple, of course, but we voluble self-torturers often envy such, and see more than a grain of truth in the biologist-cum-philosopher Jean Rostand's thought: "What poverty there often is at the source of originality. The well-provided do not go in quest of new worlds."
