You Can't Record Them All

I wanted an envious collection of taped talks, to be admired by other members

WE have found through our wise one-day-at-a-time program that we cannot practice this day of sobriety last year or next year. It must be lived today. How many times we have exclaimed and heard others repeat, "I should have gotten sober ten years ago!"

But we soon learn that this program cannot be grasped all at one time; we cannot stuff it into the same bottle just recently drained of our brand of poison and carry it with us in a neat little package.

For too long, many of us tried to play the game of life by our own selfish rules. If we could not win all the prizes,...
