An Aid to Emotional Sobriety

MODERN-day civilization demands a definite price of man for its benefits. This price is a marked increase in the occurrence and severity of tensions and emotional problems. The degree that one learns to cope with these factors depends largely on one's understanding of emotions and their disorders.

Almost everyone is aware that tensions play a great part in the cause of innumerable diseases and emotional disorders. What most people don't seem to realize is that seventy per cent of all people who go to the doctor have symptoms primarily or entirely the result of abnormal tensions and anxiety, while the rest have disturbing symptoms at one time or another which are the result of abnormal tensions as well.
