What Ever Happened to. . .
What becomes of all the men and women who all of a sudden are not around any more? And has anything happened to our feeling of responsibility?
EVER WONDER what happened to Jim? Haven't seen him at meetings lately. He'd been sober a year or two, coming to our group pretty regular. Seemed to be doing okay. Had a few family troubles, but who doesn't? Good, solid type--didn't talk much, but always worth listening to. So I ask around. Nobody seems to know; guess he just drifted away. Then I ask somebody else, and find out Jim did himself in last fall. Poison. He was a chemist, you know. No, I didn't know. Come to think of it, I didn't know much about him. Seemed like a great guy. Too bad.
