No Dues Or Fees, but. . .

Just because we're sober, do we have to get tight?

THE WORDS "no dues or fees but. . ." are spoken almost as often as some of our favorite AA Slogans. And yet, by the record, the meaning and the importance of these five little words are missed by most members of our Fellowship.

Money is a hard topic to talk about and a harder topic to sell even when you are begging for a worthy cause. But this matter of money support seems to come easy to me. My dad was an Episcopal priest, and year after year I heard him have to beg for the support of the church and other worthy causes. Also, part of my professional life has been in various phases of fund-raising.
