You Speak So Nice to Each Other
THERE WAS ONE person present throughout the entire 1977 AA General Service Conference who was a member neither of the Conference nor of AA--the man who did the tape-recording. Vince was a nice-looking, middle-aged man, who spoke with a heavy accent, possibly Greek.
For Vince, the Conference was a spiritual experience.
On Monday at coffee break, he stopped the Conference vice-chairman and asked, "Why you say, 'I am an alcoholic'? You mean, you were alcoholic."
