The Other Side of Boredom

AS I SIT here at my desk trying to fend off negative thoughts about my job, I have the sudden urge to write about that terrifying and poorly understood phenomenon, boredom. I do feel a certain expertise on this topic, for I have spent a good deal of my life bored, especially in relation to jobs. And although there are certainly positive ways to overcome this feeling (such as moving into jobs with more challenge), I have always managed, with my negative alcoholic thinking, to find my own negative forms of overcoming boredom.
