Fear, Too, Will Pass

I WONDERED, "Will I have enough money so that I can eat and pay my rent when I am too old to work? Will they give me my Social Security? How will I ever manage in my old age?"

Those worrisome questions began to assail me when I was not long out of my twenties and brand-new in AA. (They used to worry me before AA, too, but in those days I had a surefire way of dealing with them: I took another drink.)
