Too Close for Comfort

IN THE FIRST FEW months of my newfound sobriety, there were, it seemed, countless suggestions from my sponsor and others. I got very active and spent most of my time either at meetings or thinking about all I heard at those meetings. With all this going on, there was one thing I was told that hardly seemed worth mentioning: "Don't get emotionally involved the first year."
