Three's a Crowd

AS A NEWCOMER in AA, I attended a Sunday night meeting at a church. Though not billed as an old-timers or spiritual meeting, it was truly both. Shortly after my first birthday, the meeting moved to another facility. Few of the old-timers followed. One night, with about thirty in attendance, there were only seven with sobriety longer than mine. And the meeting content changed. Just before my second birthday, we moved again, to another church. But these guys said "No smoking allowed here," and the meeting dwindled and dwindled.
