Why Are We Here?

I'm very angry with my home group. Let me tell you why. On one recent Thursday, I went down to our local intergroup office to learn something about its workings. When I arrived, the staff member on duty asked me if I'd go on a Twelfth Step call. I said, "Sure. Where to?" The staffer told me the man was at my home group. He'd been sober for two days and was fighting the urge to drink. He'd been living on the streets and was pretty tore up. So off I went.
