Why a complacent old-timer got back to basics

TWO YEARS ago, all hell seemed to break loose in my personal life. At that time, I was approaching my nineteenth year of sobriety, and my life was definitely unmanageable--eighteen years or no eighteen years.

My sponsor and the old-timers had warned me about complacency a long time before. I had to make a commitment to myself.
