The Most Dangerous Small Area in the World

How many times over the past twenty-eight years have I sat in AA meetings and listened to various members--good sober AAs every one--tell how anger or low self-esteem or resentment caused them to take the first drink? And how many times have I cringed when someone--no longer a newcomer--expressed fear that a particular character defect would cause him or her to take that first drink?
