A Voice With a Twelve-year Echo

Seeing a picture of co-founder Bill W. recently reminded me of meeting him in the early 1950s. My family and I were invited to a young people's church group for dinner and to hear a speaker afterward--Bill W., who would give a talk on Alcoholics Anonymous. That was how I heard my first AA speaker in a church basement. (At that time, Bill frequently spoke to non-AA gatherings.)
