What One Man Had to Offer

I've often heard: What has one man to offer to the life of another? At one time for me, it was another drink! But thank God for one officer here in Jackson Prison who helped me finally get on the wagon.

I came to Jackson in 1987, and it was August 2, 1993, when I finally took to heart what this officer had pointed out to me two years before. He would see that I was a little tipsy most of the time and would make little comments to me. Most of the time I would blow them off.
