Precious Anonymity

THANKS to AA, I have had sixteen months of sobriety after ten years of active alcoholism. I have had so many blessings in the past year that I don't feel I have the right to complain. However, there's a problem in my mind that keeps bothering me. Frequently, I hear members say that they don't believe in anonymity.

I have read the book Alcoholics Anonymous Comes of Age. In Appendix B, Bill W. writes about Tradition Twelve, which says: "Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities." To me, this is a very precious Tradition, and I hope it is maintained.
