In my attempts to help carry the message of sobriety here in Russia, my enthusiasm often carries me away from a normally cautious road in Twelfth Step communication. Carrying the message to a foreign country isn't easy, in any event. In Russia, for example, there have been very real and numerous translation problems, and we may not discover for a while that some miscommunication has occurred. In the first Russian version of the Big Book, for example, the "Twelve Steps" came out as the "Twelve Commandments."
