Those who knew Richard J. remember how angry he was when he returned to AA in 1988 after five years of bad drinking and destructive living. He'd had eight months sober before.
Richard's anger came out in unconcealed hostility, at first toward AA. He rarely missed a chance to flaunt the group's request that members refrain from vulgar language during meetings.
