The Top of the Hill

The first AA meeting I attended was at the Top of the Hill Group in Worcester, Massachusetts. The two young speakers that night were named Peter and Marge. Coincidentally, my brother's name was Peter and my mother's was Marge--and they were the alcoholics, not me. This first incidence of my Higher Power acting anonymously was a wake-up call for me, and my curtain of denial began to lift.
