Must We Put the Cotton Back in Our Ears?

On obscenity at meetings

IN MY SECTION of the country at least, many of us are revising the old AA injunction "Take the cotton out of your ears and put it in your mouth." In order to maintain our self-respect, we now often have to take the cotton out of our mouths and put it in our ears in order to sit through some of the meetings. The situation lays a fearful burden on one's tolerance, indeed.
