Around the Tables
Responses from young readers on the topic of singleness of purpose
My name is Allen and I am an alcoholic. I came into AA when I was fifteen years old.
I had no purpose in life until I came into AA. At first I couldn't understand anything about the Steps, Traditions, or Big Book except the phrase I heard at meetings: "Keep coming back, it works."
Of course I had to keep coming back, otherwise I would have eventually died out there. I didn't want to go on like I was, but I was afraid to try something different.
