Flood Relief
Indiana committee carries the message to AA evacuees
Weeks of tornadoes and torrential rains in spring 2008 resulted in massive flooding, the worst in recorded history in southern Indiana. Twenty-three counties were declared disaster areas. Thousands of people were evacuated. Hundreds of thousands of acres of farmland were ruined. The Red Cross set up nineteen shelters and nine stations for meals. Over 3,100 families sought assistance.
