IT'S OKAY TO BE AN ALCOHOLIC
I'm seventy-two years old and two-and-a-half years sober, and my life is better than it's been in a long time. Sure, I drank in my earlier life, sometimes too much and sometimes not much, or even not at all. Whatever the case, I was a workaholic, very successful in my job, functioned at a high level and--even with my controlling personality--was well-respected. I now understand what "functioning alcoholic" really means, because that's exactly what I was. So what happened to bring me to AA?
