INCLUSIVE NEVER EXCLUSIVE

A delegate discusses the importance of diversity

The Third Tradition states, "The only requirement for AA membership is a desire to stop drinking." Through much trial and error and the distillation of shared experience, Alcoholics Anonymous decided to forgo membership rules and to be "inclusive . . . never exclusive." Even though Tradition Three was generally accepted, putting it into practice was not that easy.
