Don't forget the cookies

An AA who attends nearly every meeting in his area starts thinking about home groups

I WOULD like to share about an incredible journey I completed last year. Several years ago, I'd noticed some changes to my home group meeting and to other nearby meetings that I felt were significant. Fewer people were arriving early and staying after the meeting to help out, fewer people were showing concern for visitors and newcomers, and fewer people were attending AA service functions. I didn't know if I was becoming a "Bleeding Deacon," if I wasn't communicating the things I felt were important, or if AA was changing in a new way without my permission.
