My A.A. Survival Kit

Equipped for sobriety away from home

After almost twenty years of drinking, I sobered up and joined Alcoholics Anonymous. Six months later, I received a promotion at work. That was the good news. The bad news was that I would be away from home for the next four months.

I called my sponsor and told him about my pending trip and asked him what I was going to do about AA during that time. We began by looking for meetings in that area. But nothing was available and I would not have the experience, strength, and hope I had found with my home group.
