One call at a time
Service has always been a big part of my sobriety. I live in a small county and our members provide a 24-hour hotline from our homes. I have the 8 P.M. to 8 A.M. shift.
One morning, I was up early surfing on the web when my phone rang. The gentleman on the other end wanted the number of another Fellowship. The usual types of calls I receive are for information on meeting times, locations, addresses and phone numbers of local Alcoholics Anonymous halls.
I couldn't find what he wanted so I told him I'd look for it and call him back if I found it. Fifteen minutes later I called...
