My program at work
I OFTEN tell newcomers to pick up the phone and call others in recovery--to get to know more than one or two people in the group, so when they need help they can reach someone.
After several years of sobriety, I forgot to use my own advice. I found myself sitting in the locker room at work crying, feeling as if I could not make it through the day.
