This hearing loss should have happened to someone else, not me!
I WAS astounded to wake up one night, after I'd been sober for several years, with an insane dizziness and roaring in my head accompanied by a light-headedness on my right side. By morning I was thinking I must have had a stroke, but a visit with the doctor revealed that was not the case.
After may tests and examinations I learned that I had suffered a permanent hearing loss, probably due to age and heredity. Permanent. Millions of people suffer with hearing loss--my reaction, of course, was, "Why me?"
