Change one thing
After being sober for almost two years and listening to folks share in meetings, I heard that I had to change everything. They said that if I drank in a bar, I shouldn't go to the bar.
Well, I drank at home. As a housewife and mother my patio was my bar, a convenient and safe place to drink. It was difficult to get sober in the place I drank every day. After I sobered up, the patio was a daily reminder of my alcoholism.
